SEC press releases and court filings document a reversal of the prior administration's crypto enforcement posture beginning in late January 2025: a new Crypto Task Force; closed investigations into OpenSea, Robinhood Crypto, Gemini, Uniswap Labs and others; a stipulated dismissal with prejudice of the Coinbase action on February 27, 2025; and a stay sought in the Justin Sun case. A Harvard corporate-governance review reported FY2025 new enforcement actions fell to 313, the lowest in a decade.
