About

The Trump Conflict Ledger is a public-interest research and data-journalism site documenting financial interests, disclosed securities trades, crypto ventures, clemency decisions, foreign counterparties, access mechanisms, and policy timing connected to Donald Trump, his family businesses, associates, and administration officials, from January 2025 forward.

What this site is not

It is not a trading product, a rumor board, or an opposition-research dump. It does not declare that any timing overlap proves unlawful conduct. Where a public official, court, or agency has made a formal allegation or finding, the site quotes it and attributes it precisely. Where the record is silent, the site says so.

Every consequential entry on this site pairs what the evidence establishes with what it does not establish, at equal prominence. That pairing is not a disclaimer; it is the product.

Scope and coverage limits

Coverage begins January 2025 (the second term) and is built exclusively from the cited public record: government filings, court and clemency records, congressional letters and reports, and named investigative reporting. Items that fail the evidence standard are held in an internal log and are not published — including several widely circulated claims this project has explicitly declined to publish. The dataset is necessarily incomplete; absence from this ledger is not exoneration, and presence in it is not an accusation.

Right of reply

Responses and denials are published beside the claims they answer, at full size, attributed and dated. Two distinct statuses are tracked and never conflated. A claim’s public response status records only whether a public response was located in a cited record; a dated response_not_found note is a search note stating when sources were reviewed, not a record of contact. Separately, each claim carries a direct right-of-reply status. A public, audited direct-submission channel is not active in v0, so every v0 claim is marked not_contacted: this release does not claim that it has conducted direct outreach, and an existing public quote is never treated as evidence that it did. When an intake channel is activated, submissions will be reviewed against the methodology, the right-of-reply status will be updated per record, and any change will be logged in corrections.

Reuse

The dataset behind this site is published as machine-readable JSON and CSV exports on the Ledger page. Cite the underlying primary sources, not this site, wherever possible.

Temporal adjacency does not establish causation. Every entry on this site pairs what the evidence establishes with what it does not establish; classification and confidence describe evidence completeness, not guilt. See the methodology and corrections pages.
